THE
INVITE
How could one conversation move someone from believing they should have known better to actually knowing better—and confidently doing better?
That was the question that kept coming up in more than 4,000 paint projects.
That question changed everything.
Because the paint had never been the conversation.
The conversation was always about people riddled with indecision, guilt, or embarrassment from should have known better moments that lead to self-doubt, blame, or judgement.
In less than an hour, one conversation led them to paint their entire home with colors they loved without a care in the world. Their homes felt so abundantly fulfilled, it inspired others to do the same.
For every action there was an equal and opposite reaction.
Then I sold my company and no longer had a bucket of paint. And I wondered: Could the same conversation work without it?

I started using the conversation without the bucket of paint.
Like when a neighbor recently thought I should have known better than to pick hydrangeas on the side of the road, without asking,
The conversation took us on a wild adventure, leaving us with a beautiful story to tell, and and all the hydrangea flowers I wanted.

COME KNOW WITH ME
I decided to know. And I'm asking you to come know with me. I'm writing a book and exploring that question, one essay, one conversation, one discovery at a time.
If you'd like to follow along, hear about essays, podcasts, speaking, and the book, I'd love to stay in touch.
